New Challenges and Beginnings
In December 1980, Honorary Chairman Kim Seong-gyu founded Jungwon
Precision Industry Co., Ltd. with a vision to lead the world in the medical field.
Honorary Chairman Kim Seong-gyu and the first President Kim
Sam-jo sensed the infinite potential of the medical device field. With passion
and determination, they developed high-quality X-ray grid and film processor
products, establishing a stable medical device business.
1990
A New Start for
JPI Healthcare
Celebrating our 30th anniversary, we rebranded as JPI Healthcare and introduced a new corporate identity, marking a fresh start towards a better future. By focusing on technology development from analog in the 1990s to digital in the 2000s, we succeeded in developing software for acquiring, storing, and transmitting medical images. Collaborating with various detector manufacturers, we stabilized detector and software integration, establishing a high understanding of digital imaging systems. We set up local subsidiaries in the United States and Japan to cater to the high demand for advanced medical technology and imaging solutions. To accelerate the growth of our system business, we established an R&D research center and registered 12 patents. Our achievements were recognized with numerous awards, including the IR52 Jang Young-sil Award and the Korea Engineer Award from the Korea Industrial Technology Association.
2000
Leadership and Expansion

Following the foundation laid by Honorary Chairman Kim Seong-gyu and first President Kim Sam-jo, the second President, Kim Jin-guk, took office in 2004, opening a new horizon as a smart imaging solution specialist. Under President Kim Jin-guk’s leadership, we expanded our influence in the medical device industry by demonstrating our technological prowess and growth potential. Trading with a Japanese agency in the early 2000s further cemented our international reputation. We received numerous awards, including the $5 million Export Tower Award on Trade Day and being selected as a world-class product by the Ministry of Commerce, Industry, and Energy. We also published the world's first "GRID BOOK" and launched a new DR system, improving our technological competitiveness.

Evolving into a Smart
Imaging Solution Specialist
JPI Healthcare is preparing to expand its business beyond medical device parts into a specialized smart imaging solutions company. We have successfully commercialized medical CT through local production and established a mobile system, developed the world's first mobile tomosynthesis system, and commercialized fluoroscopic image acquisition software based on real-time image processing. JPI Healthcare is focused on developing next-generation cutting-edge medical imaging devices through continuous technology development and innovation, striving to improve the medical environment for on-site treatment and to present a new paradigm in the industry.
